  16.      Clarity is based on the most advanced sampling system for the Atari ST,
  17. Replay 16, with Falcon enhancements.  The powerful software suite provides an
  18. extensive and flexible sample editor, a sophisticated sample sequencing
  19. program (Drumbeat) & a complete MIDI keyboard emulator (MidiPlay) which,
  20. coupled with Clarity's 44.1/48.0KHz clock module, provides you with the total
  21. solution for your sampling needs.

  23. THE CLARITY SAMPLE EDITOR:

  25.      Using a GEM desktop environment you can load as many as 24 mono/stereo/
  26. 8-bit/16-bit samples and perform a wide range of editing functions, in memory
  27. or on hard disk.  These include cut/copy/paste, insert, overlay, magnify,
  28. fade- in/out, reverse, cross fade, loop, fade, analyse, volume up/down and
  29. more.

  31.      In addition, customisable special effects such as echo, reverb, and
  32. flange can be applied to samples in memory or on hard disk.  Powerful digital
  33. filtering, using he Falcon's DSP, allows different types of FIR and IIR
  34. filters to be designed and applied to samples.

  36.      Sample rates vary from 7.3 up to 50KHz, including direct to hard disk, at
  37. a frequency of 48KHz you can record over 5 secs of high quailty 16-bit stereo
  38. sound for each megabyte of hard disk space.  Alternatively you can sample over
  39. 50 seconds of 16-bit stereo, 16KHz sound directly into the memoryof a 4MB
  40. Falcon030.

  42. THE DRUMBEAT PROGRAM:

  44.      Drumbeat is a powerful sample sequencing system with full internal or
  45. external MIDI synchronisation control.  Simple editing facilities allow sample
  46. patterns to be arranged into a song list and played in full stereo.

  48.      As many as 30 samples can be used as instruments for a song and up to 4
  49. tracks/samples can be played at once.  You can use up to 50 patterns with
  50. varying tempo (40-239 beats/minute) controlled from either an internal clock
  51. or an external MIDI time source.

  55.      Midiplay provides multi-timbral voice output under the control of
  56. external MIDI instruments.  You can map up to 128 different samples across the
  57. 9 octave MIDI keyboard range and play them, in real time, from your Falcon030.

  60. you wish.  Everything is simple and intuitive including accurate positioning
